Anthea Behm received her MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Recent solo exhibitions include 14a, Hamburg; Paris London Hong Kong, Chicago; Good Enough, Atlanta; Minerva, Sydney; and the Ideas Platform at Artspace, Sydney. Group exhibitions include Centre Pompidou, Paris; Smack Mellon, NY; The Kadist Foundation, CA; the Frye Art Museum, WA; Alaska, Sydney; the Centre for Contemporary Art, Singapore; and the Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art, Helsinki. Her work has been discussed in The New York Times, Temporary Art Review, X-TRA, Kaleidoscope, and Art & Australia, and her writing has been published in Feminism Reframed: Reflections on Art and Difference, Cambridge Scholars Publishing. She has participated in the Whitney Museum of American Art Independent Study Program, the Core Program, Museum of Fine Arts Houston, the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, and was an Editor at Daily Lazy from 2018-2021. Behm is currently Associate Professor at the School of Art & Art History, University of Florida, Gainesville, and co-Director of the Interdisciplinary Art & Theory Program, Jack Shainman Gallery, NYC.
